Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts sees internationalisation as a cross-sectional task for all areas of the institution. Over 100 partner universities worldwide enable intensive cooperation in teaching, research and administration as well as international exchanges of students, teaching staff and employees. As part of double degree programmes, English-language courses and virtual international study projects, students can gain valuable experience both at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and at partner institutions abroad. University members also benefit from contacts with international students and guests at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and can improve their foreign language skills and intercultural competence through numerous programmes.
The activities are organised, coordinated and supported centrally by both the Strategic Development Department and the Advice Service Centre. In the faculties, ‘International Coordinators’ and ‘International Faculty Offices’ take on important strategic and operational tasks in the internationalisation process. Within the framework of academic self-administration, the Senate Commission on Internationalisation strengthens internal communication and further strategic orientation. The Internationalisation Strategy@HsH 2023-2026, which translates the university's mission statement into concrete, comprehensible measures, is a guideline for action.
